TOP TIPS FOR YOUR SOOKIE STACKHOUSE COSTUME

    Makeup

  • Minimal makeup. Face wise, Sookie wears very "natural" looking makeup and has a fresh faced look. Apply a dark (brown, black, or gray) eyeliner and matching mascara to the upper lash line only. Finish off with a light pink or peach lip -- but nothing too flashy. The goal is to draw attention to the eyes.

  • Hair

  • Sookie has an array of styles throughout the episodes. Luckily, her hairstyles aren't overly complex and can be achieved through a little experimenting. Whether you have curly or straight hair, there is a style that'll suit you; because she wears them both. However, if you're not blonde, and you really want that Sookie Stackhouse look, then you have the option of investing in a wig. Wigs can be found virtually anywhere, whether it be a costume store (or "party" store) or your local beauty supply. Costs and quality vary.

  • Other

  • Vampire bites. Use makeup and create vampire bites on the side of your neck, just like Sookie's.

TIPS TO TAKE YOUR COSTUME TO THE NEXT LEVEL
  • Add a Louisiana drawl, but if you're not from the Deep South, no one will notice if you speak in a stereotypical "Southern Accent".
  • Wear some blood on your neck and shirtfront!
  • If you're dressing as Sookie in her waitress uniform, carry some accessories. Get any old platter, and place some bottles of 'True Blood' and some Merlotte's glasses on it and get to serving! (Items can be found below.)
